Artist's Comments

A view from the top of a hill in Portencross looking north west. From left; the north of Arran, the Kintyre peninsula, the isles Bute and Wee Cumbrie with it's mysterious looking lighthouse on the top of it. Hope you like it. Thanks for looking.

Just....WOW...:D The use of such dramatic colours amaze me. I've seen similar skies here in Saskatchewan, where you can see the rain falling out of specific clouds from a distance away. Beautifully done.

Nice one, I absolutely love it  There's a lot of depth in that sky. I think if you make those islands in the distance a bit lighter you could create a true feeling of space. But that's just my weird opinion ;)

Thanks very much! Yeah here too, you often see completly different weather over really quite short distances, the variety is nice. As they say; if you don't like the weather here, wait five minutes. Thanks a lot and for the favourite too.

You're probably right, I go overboard with contrast a lot of the time. Thanks very much though! :)

Wow, great strong colors! I haven't seen colors like that in nature in a while. Glad to see some in this digital world though :)

Wow, great use of two of my favorite complimentary colours. ;) You've achieved a great range in this work that really makes you feel the depth. Also, I think you've captured that bit of rain there just perfectly...love that sky.
